Summer Mood

Fedora :: Rudsak similar    Top :: H&M     Shorts :: H&M     Sandals :: Zara similar     Bracelets :: Forever 21

Here's another addition of belted shorts I have which I purchased from H&M while in Hong Kong. Rather than going for the basic colours like black, tan, or army green offered, I chose this deep orange colour because I love experimenting with different shades. It helps that it's more of a neutral orange shade, that way I won't encounter too many problems matching it. Do you ever just buy "outfits" from the same store? Because that is exactly what happened with this outfit (mostly). I found the top located near the shorts in H&M and felt they would perfectly compliment each other. There were many other colours too, but I'm glad I chose the yellow one! My gladiator sandals have also become an essential in my wardrobe for summer. It adds a little more detail to every outfit with all the straps it has, and to top everything off, a fedora brings it all together.

Pineapple Express

Sunglasses :: Urban Outfitters     Top :: Forever 21     Shorts :: Calvin Klein (similar)     Ankle Boots :: Jeffrey Campbell

As you probably notice by now, a lot of my wardrobe consists of Forever 21 items. Added along, I love this drawn-on looking pineapple shirt I found. The material is quite soft, I wish they offered a whole line of shirts like these with different prints; I would buy them instantly! I know the third photo is slightly blurry, I had to use my older camera lens and that was the only full-outfit photo that wasn't extremely distorted.

Before the Pan Am Games began in Toronto this year, I've never even heard of this event. It's a competition featuring summer sports held among athletes from nations of the Americas. It's apparently a big deal, since Toronto has prepared a ton of activities around the city and even transformed to looking more colourful and culturally diverse. The Pan Am Games have attracted tourists from all over the world and is scheduled to last until mid-August. I know a lot of drivers aren't pleased with this because the highway lanes have been reduced to 2 lanes to accommodate the high occupancy lane. It's even worse during rush hour times, it would probably take you over an hour to travel downtown now. I'm not keeping track of the games, but I know my parents probably are.

Any big events happening around your town?!

Short and Sweet

No! This place was actually open!

Fedora :: Rudsak (similar)     Shirt :: Gap     Shorts :: Forever 21     Flats :: Aldo (similar)

It was my boyfriend's 22nd birthday, so I had some plans arranged to go downtown. I don't know about you, but once it's past the 21st birthday, all the numbers feel no different to me. I'm just a little anxious for when my 22nd birthday comes in September because I'm afraid of becoming older and feeling like I haven't accomplished much in my life yet. Though, I know people older than me always say I'm still so young and have a long journey ahead of me. Guess the realization of your own progress kicks in only when you start comparing yourself to others.

We were at the Distillery District in Toronto because I had a segway tour planned. The forecast did say it was going to thunder that day, though I was hoping we wouldn't catch it at the same time because it was a pretty hot, normal looking day. To our disappointment, it ended up raining 20 minutes into our tour. Of course, the tour had to be cancelled, though it was a fun experience riding segways while it lasted! Something I will definitely have to plan again!

The Distillery District is a small, historic and entertainment area. It features buildings dating back to the 1860's! I would've found out more had our tour not been cancelled, so that's all I can really say.
This was the perfect location for photos with this outfit. I love this simple pink tee I purchased on sale at Gap for $10. These pinstripe shorts were a great pattern to add interest, and it's always nice to have a cute hat while blocking the sun's rays.

Scarborough

Hat :: Aritzia     Shirt :: Zara     Shorts :: Forever 21     Shoes :: Adidas     Watch :: Nixon

I've only visited the Scarborough Bluffs once before, and despite how great this place looks through the photos, it's a pretty small area. Not exactly worth the drive in my opinion to head close to south Toronto. This time, I wanted to go because I've seen photos of spectacular views overlooking the lake, taken on top of the cliffs. This spot to get to the cliff is closer to the neighbourhoods than the main entrance to the Bluffs. It's supposed to be a no-access area, where we had to climb over a small fence, but everyone wants a glimpse of this spot that there are walking marks all around.
I didn't get a chance to share some photos from atop, though believe me, it is picturesque of a tropical vacation, where the water shines more greenish-blue, something I never thought I'd spot around here! It would've been more unique of an experience if it wern't for so many people being around this supposedly hidden area!
Of course, since we'd be doing a lot of walking, I chose my outfit to work around my sneakers. I love this varsity-type shirt I purchased from the Zara sale about two years ago. I think it was only less than $15! Probably because people were unsure of how to dress a shirt like this, full of sequins that it didn't sell well. I still love it, though it can be irritating to wear at times because of how delicate and careful I sometimes have to be if I'm hanging a bag over my shoulder, or leaning on something.
After being around the cliff, we headed to the main walkway of the Bluffs and strolled around. It was also a good chance to take my cutie dog, Whitney out to a different area since I mostly walk her around my neighbourhood.

Canada Day

Blouse :: Yes Style (similar)     White Shirt :: Aritzia      Skirt :: Forever 21     Shoes :: Yes Style      Bracelets :: Forever 21

Happy Canada day to everyone celebrating today! Nothing special to do for me. I'm probably going to spend my day reviewing some school work and catching up on chores I need to do. Every time a new month begins, I always think of it as a chance to start things I keep postponing, like getting back into exercising again. I was supposed to when I got back from my trip to Hong Kong, but I thought I should wait until summer school starts so I can use the school gym instead of having to pay for a membership. Let's hope I can make this month as productive as possible!

Have a great day peeps!
