Niagara Falls

My cousin, Linda looking chic and edgy with her newly coloured hair!

Anytime I have relatives visiting from out of the country, it's always an essential to make a trip to Niagara Falls. It's the beauty of the naturalistic sight of the waterfalls and journey of exploration in an area further away from the urban city. It's about a one and a half hour drive from Toronto, in which we had two cars carrying a total of eight people. Luckily, parking wasn't a problem for us since my family had a frequent visitor pass to the Fallsview hotel.

Before heading to Niagara Falls itself, we visited the Niagara outlet. It is fairly new and had some stores which I was surprised to find at an outlet such as Forever 21, but to my surprise, all items were regular price. I guess some stores they treated as a normal retail because of how isolated the town is. My relatives were visiting from Vietnam and they took quite a while in the shops, buying items for their business employees, where as my cousin and I were able to venture the whole outlet in less than an hour! I thought I'd be leaving empty-handed until I spotted this fedora at Rudsak marked down to $15 from $40. I was thrilled because it was such a steal. There was even an all-around metallic, rustic silver fedora which I thought looked unique, though too risqué for me.

The weather in Niagara was perfect, not too sunny and not too cool, to be walking outdoors all day. I actually think my favourite place there was the garden near Clifton Hill in front of the Sheraton hotel. It may be small, but it has beautiful landscaping and was a great spot for photos. To end the day, we headed to a Japanese restaurant which my uncle said had high reviews online, but the service was slow and the food wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Overall, it was fun spending time with family and sharing moments together.
