Oh Proenza

It's the Proenza Schouler PS11 and I have been keeping my eyes peeled for this bag to go on sale. It did at SSense for 30% off, but I was hoping for a higher discount since they normally do closer to the end of the sale. Too soon, it was already sold! It's a great shoulder/cross-body bag and I appreciate the simple design. Pictured here is the regular size and specifically, I am looking for the mini classic because I don't put a lot of stuff in my bag anyways. The mini classic retails for $1,675 in the US, and about $1,850 in Canada. No way am I paying regular price for this! I know that Proenza always has a sale reaching up to 50% off for their last season items. I don't know what that says about the high-end designer company, because you don't normally see discounts that steep, but I have definitely seen last seasons PS11 going on sale for half price! Sadly, I might have missed out on the sales offered by other department stores. Maybe I'll luckily stumble upon another sale?!

Not only are there different textures of the bag to choose from, there are also an assortment of fun colours and metallics!

Light in White

I think I love Forever 21 a little too much. If I had to choose only one retail store to shop at, it would have to be it. All the items I normally buy are under $30 and I actually prefer them over higher-end pieces. Forever 21 has such a wide variety and I can always count on them when looking for a specific style. It's actually a good thing for my bank account that I don't work at Forever 21 because the logic usually is that people avoid shopping at their own workplace. I also think clothing from their contemporary line, Love 21 is amazing. The pieces are simple, and you can find that the quality is slightly better. I have received many compliments in the past about my clothes from Forever 21 and people always thought they were expensive brands. I don't think any other clothing store can compare to Forever 21's great prices and trendy styles.

Easy Way

Boy does it feel amazing getting into the exercising routine again! Ever since school finished and my summer vacation began, I had been focusing on other things and completely pushed exercising out of my schedule. I figured it's a new month, so what better way to start off than breaking a sweat again. Currently, I am doing resistance training exercises at home such YouTube videos from Blogilates (awesome and fun workout channel!), and then throwing in some cardio-runs outdoor. I want to start strength training because I know it'd be a more beneficial workout overall, but I have to figure out if I'm willing to spend money for a YMCA membership and how to travel there since I'd have to take public transportation, and the YRT bus takes a while. I don't know what's harder, dedicating an hour everyday to working out or maintaing a healthy diet. I guess it should be fairly simple if you put your mind in to it and set your goals!

Neon

Last Friday, there was an event at Markville Mall hosted by LouLou Magazine. There were store discounts, giveaways and a fashion presentation. I wasn't sure about going before, but gladly I did with my cousin. At the end of the fashion presentation, three audience members were chosen, in which I was one of them, and we had two minutes to ensemble a trendy outfit out of the racks of clothes given. My outfit of choice was a suede tan-coloured vest, with a patterned H&M skirt, a boho-looking necklace, and a pair of metallic silver sandals. The winner was determined by the audience's applause, and surprisingly, I won! I was very excited because I never win any form of contests. I was gifted a $100 gift card to Jean Machine and another to Hudson's Bay. LouLou Magazine will be stopping by malls throughout Ontario until the Fall season, so be sure to checkout your local mall whether there'll be an event!

Shades of Tom Ford

I tend to not wear bold makeup colours on my face such as using eyeshadows, but if I ever do, it would have to be from a lipstick. I wouldn't mind whipping this piece of Tom Ford luxury out of my bag every day. Move over YSL! The packaging itself already sells, varying between a white and tortoise colour. This lipstick is said to be very pigmented and creamy in texture to easily glide on to your lips. In Canada, the only place I have spotted the Tom Ford beauty line is at Holt Renfrew, retailing the lipsticks for $49. You can also check out Nordstrom, in which they have many shades to choose from. Although the price is a little absurd, this could be an upcoming mini splurge for myself, the only difficult decision would be which colour? I'd say maybe a summer shade like light pink or coral would be beautiful!

Breeze

When the weather is hot out, I normally gravitate to wearing a dress. It's much easier to slip into than a t-shirt and shorts because it's only one-piece. Even better, is to wear loose dresses to allow movement when the sun is beaming on you. I also love pairing dresses with a hat to block your face from the sun. Because of my facial cleanser products I have used over the years, my skin has become sensitive when it comes to the sun, so I always remember to wear sunscreen. I specifically like Shiseido's, with SPF 50.  It has a milky texture and feels very lightweight. For a link to that product, check out my 'Essentials' tab!

Wild Willows

Happy Sunday! It's the beginning of a new month, slowly making our way to summer days. I also need to start making an effort to heading back to the gym for some workouts. Apparently it's supposed to thunder today which does not mix well with hot weather. For sure, April didn't get it's regular amount of showers and will probably have to settle in this month. I love the patterns on this denim shirt, giving it an eye of interest. If I were to choose what style of top I'd always wear, it'd have to be collared, button-ups. They can look super casual and bring an outfit together well.
